Professor Pat Price has been working to redefine cancer treatment for 35 years. She trained in general medicine in Cambridge and in oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital. She undertook her research degree at the Institute of Cancer Research and was awarded the Cambridge University medal for best laboratory-based MD in 1991.

Price has more than 380 full peer-reviewed publications, co-edits the standard UK textbook on oncology, 'Treatment of Cancer', currently preparing the 8th edition, and has been awarded more than £20M of research funding.

Price is the chair and founder of Radiotherapy UK, a charity dedicated to improving radiotherapy treatment. Their mission is to help provide access to radiotherapy treatment to everyone in the country, no matter who they are or where they live. The #CatchupwithCancer campaign has brought their vision to the masses, from public officials to patients to the RT workforce.
APPG-RT
Price is the Chair of Trustees of Radiotherapy UK, which acts as Secretariat to the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Radiotherapy. Price regularly provides briefing to government leaders and has given evidence to the Health and Social Care select committee.
Global Coalition for Radiotherapy
During Covid, Price co-founded the Global Coalition for Radiotherapy (GCR). The GCR is a virtual multidisciplinary collaborative, focused on creating a world where access to quality radiotherapy is universal and equitable. Price is a key part of the GCR Leadership Team, focused on advising, publishing, hosting virtual events and creating resources for RT advocacy.

Price is a foremost UK medical legal expert in oncological practice. Through rigorous researched evidence based criteria she has established a research and medico-legal advisory company, providing services since 2010. She gives lectures to NHS organisations, barristers and solicitors on UK standards in oncology practice and the developing role of medical experts in medico-legal work.
